Anthony has researched and continues to research the latest findings on calcium absorption, deficiency and developments in supplements provided by pharmacies and health stores. Anthony has put together the material provided in reports given to customers. These reports are an excellent source of information for the customer and reinforce all that is said to them in their bone density assessment.

Kaylene has a nursing background prior to embarking on a career in company administration. Kaylene now manages the company fulltime and is directly involved in screening customers and training pharmacy and health store staff to screen customers.

Bone Health Checks Ltd is a family owned and operated business and was registered in September 2005 by Peter and Kaylene Dowers.
The Sahara Sonometers used to perform the bone density checks were purchased through an Auckland-based company, Insight Oceania. Insight provides and maintains the Dexa X-ray equipment used in New Zealand public hospitals to check bone density. The Dexa and Sahara equipment are both made by United States company Hologic. The Sahara was designed as a screening tool and the Dexa as a diagnostic tool. Insight provided training in the use of the Sahara equipment and continues to regularly maintain and calibrate the equipment.
