Have regular bone density checks
|
Obtain a baseline bone density measurement with ultrasound or DEXA, then monitor the rate of bone loss through six-monthly or annual scans.
A urine test, known as OsteoCheck (available through bodybalance.com), can also be used.
Bone Health Checks Ltd keeps a record of your results and can track changes over time to determine if your bone loss is normal or excessive. Regular scans give a clearer idea of your risk.

If the result of your bone test is outside the World Health Organisation (WHO) guidelines for healthy bones you will be referred to your GP for further bone treatment.
